Technical Delivery Manager Investment Bank Qlickview Oracle Informatica

The responsibilities:

Main responsibilities and expectation of the role are:

  • Establishment of Book of work and delivery schedule
  • Establishment of Terms of Engagement and Operating Model
  • Delivery management throughout life cycle incl. launch/hand over into production
  • Advisory on technical solutions and delivery time frames.
  • Initial technical solution design in communication with the stakeholders based on requirements. Where possible/necessary, renegotiation of requirements in order to achieve best possible solution.
  • Implementation and execution of best practice processes (e.g. code reviews, quality gates)
  • Demand management and change request management in conjunction with business solutions and business counterparts
  • Regular formal status reporting to project manager and stakeholders.
  • Being the main contact for project delivery and own overall delivery responsibility to client.
  • Collaboration with other IT groups in order to achieve delivery.

Experience and Skills:

Experience/Background (i.e. what is essential/preferred and number of years experience):

  • Eight or more years of experience working in the financial services industry and a minimum of 3 years with a focus on Project management preferably within the areas of data warehousing (incl. data architecture), reporting, analytics and business intelligence. Experience in implementation of Enterprise QlikView, Informatica and Oracle solutions; further experience with LavaStorm would be advantageous.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate solid experience in BI best practices and principles.
  • Ability to operate independently and represent the delivery team towards the stakeholders.
  • Experiences around Big Data Analytics are of advantage.
  • Project delivery: waterfall methodology and agile practices.
  • Ability to confidentially navigate all technical challenges around a project delivery, including infrastructure sizing, infrastructure procurement processes, ensure adoption of standard services (e.g. for security and authentication, platform services etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability to interface and converse with clients at all levels.
  • The candidate should have 3+ years experience in technical delivery management, focusing on all aspects of management and coordination of requirements and the development process (change control, code quality, documentation, deployment processes, production hand over etc.)
  • Experience in agile methodology and a Prince 2 or PMI certification would be seen as advantage.
  • Experience for managing a team is also a requirement.
