IT Support Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Office 2010 MS Access

The organisation:

The responsibilities:

You will be the first point of contact for all IT and desktop related queries. Including (but not limited to staff) based in the London office and via telephone for staff based in other remote offices. You will be proficient in Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Windows 7 and Microsoft Access and will liaise with the onsite database administrator to understand daily tasks and cover for this person when they are away from the office. You will have excellent documentation skills to write procedures for all internal staff. You will have excellent client facing skills and be able to converse with non IT people to explain and assist them with problems. Previous project work is advantageous as the company will be looking for you to plan and manage these.

Required Technical Knowledge / Skills:

Experience working in a 1st – 3rd line support role.

Strong technical knowledge

Microsoft Active Directory

Microsoft Exchange Administration

Windows 7

Microsoft Office 2010 including Outlook.

Microsoft Access 2010

Terminal services

Network infrastructure,

Switches – patching

Cisco Call Manager telephone system or similar VOIP system would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

The candidate will be MCSA or MCITP qualified or working towards these certifications.

Daily Tasks

The Exchange environment is hosted via a 3rd party and you will be the administrator to maintain user accounts, mailboxes (staff and client) and distribution list permissions also to maintain resource mailbox permissions

Write and roll out user guides to staff for all common IT requests.

Write and hold internal training sessions to help staff improve their skills sets where required on Microsoft products.

Maintain Active directory for all users and computers across the estate, including starters and leavers as well as folder permissions and security groups

Monitor and maintain disk storage space on a daily basis

Maintain documentation for offline and storage.

Implement an internal ticketing system and oversee to ensure all IT related requests are dealt with efficiently and promptly according to their priority level.

Liaise and act as the first point of Contact with our host company to ensure all tickets raised externally are dealt with promptly according to their priority level.

Attend monthly and quarterly service review meetings with the host company to ensure service levels are being met.

Liaise with the host company, internal OM and COO to discuss, review and implement infrastructure projects
